The Luminys Hosting Platform

Reliability is key when selecting a vendor. Luminys has invested a great deal in infrasture and has hands-on control over all servers to ensure reliability, security, and maximum uptime. Luminys equipment and services are hosted in a tier-1 SAS-70 certified hosting facility located in Irvine, CA., and has access to all equipment 24x7x365.

Network — The hosting facility has a 100% uptime guarantee. Network providers include: Verizon, Time Warner Telecom, COX Communications, AT&T, TelePacific Communications, XO, and Internap.

Power — The hosting facility supports N+1 power redundancy, with automatic switchovers from the dual onsite grids to dual uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), to dual diesel power generators.

Physical Security — The hosting facility has onsite security personnel 24x7x365, closed circuit television, and combination access card and photo identification required for entrance to the facility.

Redundancy — All systems throughout the data center are N+1 redundant, including all power, HVAC, the internet access.

Environmental Control — The hosting facility is maintained at a 68/F +/-2F temperature. Air is filtered continuously for contaminants. All racks are on an 18" raised foundation with air circulated from underneath and exited on top, back through the HVAC system.

Servers — All critical servers, including mail, extranet, web, and archive servers, are dual-processor, RAID-5 systems that can be monitored remotely.

Backups — Luminys runs daily backups of web, extranet, and mail servers. Although customers are encouraged to purchase seven day rolling backups that they can access through their extranet, in an emergency Luminys can restore customer files that were inadvertantly deleted.
